Interactive Analysis of Spatiotemporal Data

There has been a meteoric rise in the use of spatiotemporal data in a variety of fields of science such as agriculture, geosciences, and transportation. Applications include smart city management, climate modeling, disaster management, and autonomous transport. While there exists multiple decades of research in spatiotemporal data management, enabling highly interactive data exploration and analysis over large-scale spatiotemporal data remains challenging. In this talk, we introduce SpaceTime, an interactive spatiotemporal framework which is built on top of different research projects and software suites. We illustrate different scenarios on real-world applications where SpaceTime makes a difference in insight discovery and decision making.

سخنران:

Speaker Bio . Behrooz Omidvar-Tehrani is a postdoctoral researcher in the University of Grenoble Alpes. Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Ohio State University, USA. His research is in the area of data management, focusing on interactive analysis systems for spatiotemporal and social data. Behrooz received his PhD in Computer Science from University of Grenoble Alpes, France. He has published in several international conferences and journals including CIKM, KAIS, VLDB and EDBT. He was also a PC member in several venues including TKDE, DAMI, CIKM, ICDM and SDM.
